Job Description                                                                                                                              

HARRRP is looking for volunteers to help facilitate programs for newcomers called “Community Connections.”  The program’s main purpose is connecting newcomers with local residents who volunteer their time assisting newcomers to Canada with the settlement and adaptation process.

Under the supervision of the Community Development Manager, the individual will help newcomer participants develop their understanding of Canadian society, practice their language skills, network for employment and get support in their overall settlement process. Volunteers become active members of more welcoming communities.

Positions Available                                                                                                                       

 

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

  • One-on-one mentoring
  • Group mentoring/conversation circles facilitator
  • Fitness instruction
  • Skill based instruction (ex. Sewing, cooking, technology)
